Environmental Benefits
Historic Preservation
Preservation, integration and interpretation of 19th century natural cement industry assets on the property, as well as the history of the Williams Lake Resort.
Examples:
- Integration and interpretation of the early masonry kiln walls into the development's architecture and public spaces, such as along the public rail trail
- Creation of a public interpretive museum dedicated to early natural cement industry and the William Lake Resort's history
- Protection and interpretation of room and pillar mines
Natural Resource Protection
Long-term protection of natural resources on-site (water, wildlife habitat, wetlands, forest)

- Commitment to ongoing research partnerships with NYSDEC and leading universities for research related to bats and geology
- Expansion of land under permanent conservation easement
